eContent Pro International Press abides by international copyright law, and as such all contributors are asked to sign an eContent Pro International Press Author's Warranty and Transfer of Copyright agreement prior to publication. The warranty portion ensures that materials submitted to eContent Pro International Press for consideration are original and have not been published elsewhere previously. The copyright portion clearly states: Author(s) cannot post the contents of the chapter on any website (with the exception of the author's secure personal website and/or their university repository site) or distribute the work to others in either electronic or print forms without the written permission of eContent Pro International Press. This includes any chapter currently under consideration by eContent Pro International Press and the final published work.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that certain exceptions may need to be made in order to make eContent Pro International Press published content more easily accessible for teaching and learning purposes. Please contact our Intellectual Property and Contracts Department if there are any special requirements you must fulfill with your published content.

For Open Access Publications
Authors and editors of eContent Pro International Press open access publications sign an Author Warranty. The warranty portion ensures that materials submitted to eContent Pro International Press for consideration are original and have not been published elsewhere previously. Moreover, it ensures that any necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials (figures, photographs, etc.) are secured by the author(s) before publication. Open Access publications carry the CC BY 4.0 licensing arrangement. Under this licensing, authors and editors are allowed the freedoms below, so long as they give credit to the original author(s).
Once the work has been formally accepted and planned for publication under open access by eContent Pro International Press or when it is formally published under open access by eContent Pro International Press, then authors will be welcome and encouraged to post the work wherever they wish (pre-publication or post-publication posting).
FOR POST-ACCEPTED AND POST-PUBLICATION CHAPTERS, AUTHORS CAN:
- Post the full final typeset PDF of their chapter on the author or editor's personal website and/or their university repository site.

Retrospective Open Access Publishing
Authors can unlock their previously published work to Open Access (OA) and have the ability to share their work freely. Authors who previously published their work under the traditional publishing model (standard access) would have signed an Author’s Warranty and Transfer of Copyright Agreement that transferred the copyright of their work to the publisher. When a book chapter or full book publication is converted to open access, the copyright returns to the authors of the manuscript under the CC BY 4.0 license, allowing the copyright of the work to remain solely with the authors and opens greater sharing capabilities for authors who wish to maximize the visibility of their published work. Any author interested in increasing the sharing power for their work through retrospective OA can contact customerservice@ecppress.com for more information.
