Call for Chapters

Proposals Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026
Full Chapters Due: September 13, 2026
Submission Date: September 13, 2026

Introduction

This edited volume addresses a central imperative of modern organizational theory and practice: the strategic integration of human and artificial intelligence. It moves beyond viewing automation as mere replacement, instead focusing on collaborative frameworks where human judgment, creativity, and ethics synergize with machine efficiency, data-processing power, and algorithmic precision. The book will explore the socio-technical systems, governance models, leadership strategies, and organizational structures required to foster effective human-machine teams. It critically examines the redesign of workflows, the evolution of requisite skills (upskilling/reskilling), and the ethical management of algorithmic authority to enhance organizational agility, innovation, and resilience in a digitally-transformed landscape.

Objective

The publication is positioned to significantly impact the research community by establishing a coherent, interdisciplinary knowledge base at the nexus of organizational studies, information systems, and human-computer interaction. It will provide a foundational reference that synthesizes empirical research, conceptual models, and practical case studies, catalyzing new scholarly inquiries into hybrid intelligence systems. By offering evidence-based frameworks, it will guide future research on trust dynamics, performance metrics, and adaptive structures in augmented organizations, thereby advancing both academic discourse and evidence-based managerial practice.

The primary intended audience includes academic scholars and doctoral students in organizational behavior, public administration, business management, and information technology; senior executives, digital transformation officers, and HR strategists in both public and private sectors; and consultants and policymakers focused on the future of work and organizational design in the digital economy.
