Ana Pego holds a Ph.D. in Geography and Territorial Planning (Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal), an MBA (Open University, Portugal) and a BSC in Economics (Universidade de Évora, Portugal). She is an integrated researcher at CICS Nova- Research Center in Social Sciences; in her research, she focuses on the circular economy, offshore energy, smart cities and tourism. She is a coordinator of five European projects as Erasmus and Horizon Europe. She is an author of several articles about offshore energy clusters, tourism, and the circular economy. She also collaborates with Open University in Macroeconomics and Business Management classes.
