Description:

In this post-truth era, journalism faces profound ethical and social challenges. As misinformation and disinformation proliferate through digital platforms, the role of journalists as truth-tellers is increasingly contested and complex. Ethical dilemmas surrounding accountability intersect with political pressures and public distrust, reshaping how news is produced and interpreted. This evolving landscape demands a critical examination of journalism’s responsibilities and limitations, as well as renewed strategies to uphold integrity and navigate the blurred boundaries between truth, opinion, and propaganda.

Journalism in the Post-Truth Era: Ethical, Political, and Social Perspectives explores the fake truth culture as well as how it affects journalism. This book examines how journalism is reshaped in an era dominated by misinformation, emotional appeals, and eroding trust in factual accuracy. Covering topics such as journalism, credibility, and propaganda, this book is an excellent resource for journalists, researchers, academicians, educators, and more.
