Jesús Barrena-Martinez holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Cádiz (Spain), where he currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Organization. He also acts as director of the department and is affiliated with the Instituto Europeo de Sostenibilidad en Gestión (iESG). His doctoral dissertation, which examined the impact of socially responsible human resource configurations on business performance through intellectual capital, was recognized as the best doctoral thesis in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the Santander Chair of the University of Málaga in 2014. His research focuses on CSR, sustainable human resource management, and organizational behavior, with special attention to the expectations of new generations in leadership and workplace fairness. He has authored or co-authored more than 15 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Business Research, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management. In addition, he has published numerous book chapters, acted as a reviewer and editorial board member for several journals, and regularly presents his work at international academic conferences. He has also served as associate editor for Review of Business Management (RBGN), Tourism & Management Studies (TMS), and The Bottom Line (TBL) since 2018. Prof. Barrena Martínez has contributed as the main editor of several international academic volumes published by IGI Global, addressing contemporary challenges in business sustainability, responsible management, and human capital. He has coordinated and participated in research projects funded by national and regional agencies, and he actively supports international academic cooperation as an Erasmus coordinator and mentor. His teaching includes undergraduate and graduate courses in human resource management, entrepreneurship, and strategic management, with a long-standing commitment to curriculum innovation and ethical business education.
Jesús Collado Agudo earned his bachelor's degree in business and administration in 1998 and his PhD in economic sciences in 2004 from the University of Cantabria, receiving the Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado for his doctoral work. He currently holds the position of Profesor Titular in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Cantabria, where he also serves as Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, a role he assumed in 2022 after previously serving as Vice-Dean since 2013. Dr. Collado specializes in relational marketing, distribution channels, tourism marketing, and branding for organizations and territories. He leads the I+D+I Marketing Intelligence research group and has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles in respected national and international journals, including several in top-tier publications. He has participated in more than 60 competitive research projects, 13 of which he directed as principal investigator, and has supervised three completed doctoral theses, with three more currently underway. He also contributes through international academic engagements and chapter contributions to edited volumes. In addition to his research, Collado has a long-standing record of teaching across all levels—including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs—at the University of Cantabria and in postgraduate programs at institutions such as Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) and the Universidad Autónoma de San Luís Potosí. He coordinates the Official Master’s in Marketing and the Expert Course on Tourism Enterprises and has contributed significantly to institutional leadership—overseeing COVID-19 responses, accreditation processes (AUDIT), digital and hybrid teaching adaptation, and academic infrastructure improvements
Carolina Serrano-Archimi holds a Master’s in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona and later obtained an MBA, a Master Recherche (MPhil), and a PhD in Management Science from Aix-Marseille University. In 2019, she earned her Habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR) at Université Lyon III, with a dissertation focused on hierarchical trust and organizational cynicism. Before transitioning into academia, she spent twelve years in management roles across four countries, working in sectors such as agri-food exports, retail negotiation, internet development, and corporate training. Academic roles & teaching responsibilities As a Maître de conférences HDR (Associate Professor) at the IAE Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management, Carolina Serrano-Archimi has led the MBA and EMBA programmes, directed the MSc in Corporate Communication & Change, and served in several leadership positions including Associate Dean and Academic Director of international programmes. Her teaching centers on Change Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and innovative teaching methodologies, frequently delivered within executive education contexts. Research focus & professional consulting Her research explores organizational behavior, with a particular interest in workplace cynicism, trust dynamics, and social exchange between levels of management. She supervises doctoral students on topics related to human resources, leadership, and innovation within the CERGAM research center. In parallel, she works as a certified coach and consultant, providing expertise in leadership development, organizational change, conflict mediation, and intercultural management for companies and executive education programs.
Vivi Marie Lademoe Storsletten is an Associate Professor of ethics, corporate social responsibility, and the environment at Nord University Business School. She holds degrees in optical engineering, an MSc in ecological economics, an MBA in Strategy and Leadership, and a 2019 PhD in Business focusing on quality in leadership and ecological economics. Before academia, she spent fifteen years in clinical optometric practice and business development. At Nord University, she leads the international committee, scientific master’s programs, and the MSc in Sustainable Leadership and Arctic Perspectives. Her research and teaching critically challenge quantitative growth paradigms in favor of qualitative development. Using transdisciplinary approaches and philosophical frameworks, she works to advance transformative, circular, and place-based ecological business models.
Barbara Gawior is an experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and specialist in applied behavioral economics, with nearly 20 years of international experience. She focuses on helping organizations become more adaptive and resilient by fostering innovation and strong employee engagement. Her work blends deep HR expertise with strategic vision to prepare leaders and companies for future challenges. Her main areas of expertise include both strategic and operational HR management, talent development, learning and training shaped by behavioral science, and leading organizational change. She is also active in executive recruitment using predictive analytics, career coaching, and designing strategies for employee commitment. Barbara uses behavioral tools to build efficient, high-performing HR systems. Barbara has developed unique approaches that combine emotional and rational factors behind employee commitment, helping companies better understand what drives loyalty. She shares her insights through writing and speaking engagements, covering topics like AI in leadership, scientific approaches to management, conflict resolution, and dealing with narcissistic leaders.
