“As Managing Expert Systems is revived for a new generation, we stand at another inflection point in AI. Machine learning platforms, neural networks, and generative models now dominate headlines, shifting the public conversation from “Can AI reason?” to “How will AI reshape society?” Beneath this technological transformation is a constant truth: management remains the decisive factor.

I invite readers to view expert systems not as relics of an earlier wave of AI, but as foundational chapters in an ongoing story. This book remains what it has always been: a guide not only to building intelligent systems, but to leading them. In an era of exponential technological growth, thoughtful management may be the most important intelligence of all.”

- Dr. Mehdi Khosrow-Pour, D.B.A., CEO of IGI Global Scientific Publishing, Derived from Managing Expert Systems (1992)
