Dr. Carlos Nunes Silva presents the Third International Conference on Urban e-Planning

Third IJEPR Annual Conference

IGI Global is proud to support the Third IJEPR Annual Conference on ‘Urban e-Planning, which will be held at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, on April 3-4, 2018. The conference is convened by Dr. Carlos Nunes Silva, IGI Global contributor and Editor in Chief of the International Journal of E-Planning Research (IJEPR), a journal that has been accepted for inclusion into SCOPUS in 2017, and more recently into Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

“The IJEPR Annual Conference aims to explore and to discuss recent developments, emerging issues and future challenges in the field of urban e-planning worldwide”, explains Dr. Nunes Silva. This conference will provide a forum for the critical discussion of new perspectives, approaches, methods, and tools in the field of Urban e-Planning.

The program is organized around the following themes:

• Theme 1: Smart Cities: Governance and Planning
• Theme 2: Citizens e-Participation & Collaborative Planning
• Theme 3: The Real and Virtual in Urban e-Planning
• Theme 4: Theory, Ethics and Methods in Urban e-Planning

Additionally, this third edition of the IJEPR Annual Conference will be an occasion and opportunity for research networking in the broad field of Urban e-Planning. It is expected that a selection of conference papers will be published in the IJEPR in 2019.
